Juvenile Humor

I know I am a mean mom for posting this...but I just couldn't stop laughing! Unlucky for Aslyn, I had the camera nearby.

Welcome Home, Daddy!

To the untrained eye, these may simply look like piles of toys... BUT based on Denali's interest in the pile, one can deduce that Nathan is under there. As a welcome home, Aslyn convinced Nathan to: (1) build a fort, (2) get inside the fort, and (3) let her "share" most of her toys with him. Such a generous spirit :) Welcome Home, Daddy!

This is the way we wash our hands...

Aslyn LOVES to wash her hands...and as with everything, she has to do it herself. First, she gets the step stool, then she hoists herself up, turns on the water, gets some soap, washes and then turns off the water. AND she does the whole thing while dangling two feet off the ground. I swear she must be part monkey! The best part is to hear her banging around from the downstairs. Never fails to make me laugh...then run up the stairs!

Reading to Denali

Aslyn, after her nap today, decided to read to Denali. After trying many books, she finally chose the Puppy Book (how appropriate). See if you can catch the title, who one of the puppies looks like, and the toy one of the puppies is playing with. (Answers: The Puppy Book, Looks like Denali, and a Rubbery Ball.)

Jammy Day!

With Nathan out of town, I decided to have a Jammy day with Aslyn. For those who weren't aware, Aslyn asks everyday to wear Jammies when it comes time to pick out her clothes. Therefore, I thought a Jammy Day would be right up her alley. Here are a few pics.

Even Aslyn's Baby got in on the Jammy action...she is wearing a pair of Aslyn's Jammies.

The Hair Conundrum

If you hadn't noticed, Aslyn has A LOT of hair, and we are finally getting to the point where we can "convince" (ie bribe) her to let us do something with it. The biggest problem is by the end of the day she decides that a pony (ponytail holder) is no longer needed and it ends up in her face or out of her face but very "Flock of Seaguls"-ish. I suppose the 80's are making a comeback...
